1-8 Curriculum

Mother Lode Adventist Junior Academy curriculum, used by SDA schools across North America, is Bible-based.  It was developed by SDA educators to challenge and scaffold our unique learning goals. Several of these goals align with the Common Core State Standards, though the Adventist curriculum is not based on or mandated by CCSS.   Our curriculum is rigorous and enriched to meet the academic needs of the students living in the 21st Century. For the purpose of being true to Biblical teachings, Christian educators wrote our science, spelling, and reading materials.   Other courses, such as math, and social studies were chosen from public school texts that presented the subject matter well. MLAJA teachers also make modifications as necessary to tune the curriculum to the needs of local students.  We would be happy to discuss our curriculum with you and show you the materials we use.

MLAJA’s teachers are all credentialed.   Our K-10 program is nationally accredited.  The school administration and staff are held accountable by two certifying organizations, thus ensuring constant excellence.
