Dear Kindergarteners,

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Stephanie Whitcomb the Kindergarten and Pre-1st teacher at MLAJA.  After graduation from Pacific Union College with my California State credential in 2000, I was hired by Foothills Adventist Elementary, a lab school for PUC’s Education Department, where I taught K/P1 for three years, followed by grades 3&4 and wrapping up with Junior High language arts, history, and mentor teacher to college students.  After teaching seven years, I took time off to raise my children, Julia and Thomas, while stating active in my children’s schools, subbing, teaching outdoor education, and volunteering in the community.  I joined the MLAJA team of amazing educators 2 years ago, and am happy to serve in this community.

Each grade has its own unique joy to teach, and K/P1 is filled with learning through songs, movement, stories, exploration, excursions, and play.  I will provide a rich, caring, and safe learning environment and look forward to partnering with you as your child thrives in the school setting.

Get outdoors,

Stephanie Whitcomb
